I was setting up at the gun show today. I saw a good number of decent milsurps at decent prices. I picked up a sported LB good for rebuild, original #s matching for $130 and picked up a #2 .22 for $350. It is in sorry shape but I have most of what I need to rebuild it. Quite a few more but I have to sell some of my stuff or I will walk away with more than I brought.
I anguished over a dewat FN FAL but I will just have to hope somebody buys it before I cave in.

When I arrived I found that somebody had poached my assigned tables and had set up and bu99ered off before I got there. I had the organizers re-assign me to "his" tables so was able to get set up by around 1830. Apparently this guy also bumped another fellow from his assigned table.

I'll put in a complaint with the ringmaster tomorrow AM, but will make do with what I have. I'll be having words with the guy tomorrow AM. This show is well organized and tries to accomodate people on choice of tables, provided they ask.

Nice find!
Would love to have found a #2 .22 for that price, hard to locate around here!

I scooped up an Israeli mauser brno in a nice laminate stock. Now to source some accessories for the little fella. Show was packed with a line up to get in 2hrs after opening! I wish the CBC would have been there to show how sane and polite 99.99% of people with guns as a hobby are.

I tried to get in at 9:45. I said tried, as I never made it. Parking lot was pretty much full. Huge lineup, winding from the front door, about 300yds long. out into the parking lot. Was just pissin down rain to boot. Wasn't geared up to stand out in the rain for an hour to get in. Long drive from Surrey but I will try again later today or Sunday. Has always been too good a show to miss. Just gotten to damn popular. :)

I was there same time, line moved fast. About ten minutes outside, that was it.

Yes, bloody long line when I arrived at 9;10.
Finally out of the rain and inside at 9:45 !

I met Purple today.
He had a sign with his CGN name, so I introduced myself.
Always nice to put a face to the username. :)

I met one of my past welding instructor/colleagues also.

Picked up a '49 SKS with spike bayonet for $400.
Also saw a 1947 Mosin M44 original matching numbers except bolt with 440 rounds for $475 asking. Couldnt believe no one scooped it.
Also saw a M1 carbine with 200 rounds for $500 and a Russian Berdan for $900 or so
Was a good show...

I had a chat will a few CGN folks who stopped by the table ; tootall, beretta armorer(thanks for the gift), can 14 and bearhunter. No doubt there were some others as well. There were a lot of people in the bldg untill around 1400 then it thinned out a lot. Let's hope for better weather and a big turnout after church tomorrow, and for some of those high roller YVR folks.;)
