My buddy and I when over from Victoria to Chiiliwack gun show and had a great day out much large than any thing we had been to on the island. am wondering who else went there and their thoughts on the variety of various sale items and what of the pricing?

My son and I are heading there this morning.

My son is turning 9 this week he is becoming a major firearms enthusiast so we are turning this show into a yearly father/son outing.

This morning starts for me with coffee and Caroline's his starts with some #####ing (just like his mother :)) and a bath.

We are next going for breakfast in our local restaurant then while on the way to the show we are running the dog down the dike because she doesn't like to schit in our yard and will hold it until we get to the dike.

10 min later we will be in the line up for the show...

My boy is looking for "some nice pocket knives maybe a German police hat" I'm looking for reloading components and rifle accessories Cadle Ridge butt stock ammo holders, Leupold scope covers etc.

I'm hoping HiCal from Mission is there with a Aero Survival rifle in 10mm and gunsmith Gary Flatch (spelling) have a few things for him to do for me.

I'm kind with Rob on this one. If I went at all it would only be to find a little bit of ammo.

But really, the days of my heart quickening as I entered the doors of a gun show are over, so I didn't go.

Went last year just to see a few buds, but didn't get anything at all there. Nada.

Its a good show and certainly garners a huge audience, but research your potential purchases and watch the prices.
Health issues prevented my having a table because I have some serious ' culling ' to do in the gun room .
Having had a table there in years past I have found that if everything is priced fairly it will sell and without hassle.
If table contents are priced too low they will simply end up on another vendors table at an inflated price.

Welp, didnt add any Boolitz for my cartridge collection.
Other than a 12 gauge double aught buck and one with copper pellets both in clear hulls where you can see the wads and the pellets.
Bought a 32nd Edition Blue Book of gun values and my buddy bought a Silver jubilee Winchester in 38-55 for $750.00 with box and a great condition box of 20 rounds too.
He shoulda bought the two together as they where identical serial numbers.
Lots of stuff on the tables and appeared to be lots of room to negotiate.
Funny thing was not one person on the tables gave me a sideways glance let alone a glare.
All where polite and helpfull too.
Walked right in today too, where as yesterday there was a two hour line up to get inside.
The Browning Model 12 in 28 gauge wanted to come home with me, but I was short a few hundred beans...nice condition with the box and papers too.
Was it the ''Best Ever''? not by a long shot, but it was a good days outing even if I didnt get my boolitz to add to the shoe box.
25WSM and 416 Wby anyone?
Tight Groups,
Rob

I spent $360 at Dave Friesen's LR primers 45-70 brass powder etc and my son spent about $100 for a helmet, raccoon hat, military metals, army jacket etc.

We got there appr 9:45am and were about the last to leave went out for dinner with a buddy and his kids and just got home.

Was a fun, relaxing day.
