Thanks to everybody who turned out and to all of our sponsors, in particular Reliable Gun who was our generous title sponsor. It was a great day for our first DSSBCA sanctioned rifle/pistol event with everybody doing their part to ensure things ran smoothly and we all had fun. Because of the cooperation and initiative of ROs and shooters it made my job as match director relatively easy. Please post comments, photos and videos.

A great day was had by all!!! Great job as MD Caje, and Still Alive put together some great stages for our first two gun there!!!

Thanks to Reliable Gun as our Title Sponsor for the event, and all our others: CTCS, CanadaAmmo, Wanstalls, Tiger Arms, Joint Force Tactical, DSTactical, PoCo Military Surplus, International Shooting Supplies. Also thanks to Edgy for the kettle corn!!!

Can't wait for the next event: Kickoff the Summer Two Gun June 11 sponsored by Canadian Tactical Cowboy Supplies!!!

I call this: "Whaddya mean my feet have to be under cover?? You know how long it took me to get down here?"

Rocking the Reliable Gun patch and my OSTS Team Canada hat!!

Dang! That was a fun match!
I wanna give props to smellypete also for helping lay out the stages with me and Rugerman for giving input despite his crummy knees!
Also want to thank the IDPA group from CFGPA for sharing their props with us. Our sponsors as mentioned by PE have been magnificent and we truly appreciate their very generous support over the years. They truly are an asset to the BC shooting community. I ask our competitors to continue supporting our sponsors any way they can!
We had great shooters, many who helped out the less experience guys and made the day safe and great! I would say DSS Match's first 2 Gun was a resounding success. Looking forward to many more to come!

I don't think Mark got any sleep prior to this match. We were working on the final set up Saturday morning at 6:30. He had been up since two am dealing with computer/printer issues for the stage descriptions, RO details, etc. It was so worth it though. Our squad was just a great bunch of shooters and I would shoot with any of them again in a flash. So much camaraderie in this match. One of our guys had his gun totally pack it in. Someone else offered his gun so he could finish the match. Learned a lot from Smelly Pete, too. He only knows one speed: FAST! Stage takedowns went quickly as everyone pitched in. Thanks to the sponsors, there was a full prize table. I was the happy recipient of a $25 gift card from Canada Ammo. Thanks, Sponsors, your prizes were appreciated. Looking forward to the next match!

wow, looks like a fantastic time, can't wait till I can do the qualifier and give it a try, what a great group of guys out here, can't believe the amount of work you all put in!! Great pics also :)

This looks amazing! this is something i want to get into in the future. I actually just became member this year at chilliwack. does the group have a facbebook or a page i can visit to learn/ join the sport?

DSSmatch.com. You can find out about CASE and other fun facts there.
Sign up with your email for more info or drop Phat Eagle, Caje or myself a PM here.
We are planning another CASE course for Chilliwack as the rest are sold out for the year due to demand! You need to pass CASE before you are allowed to shoot the matches. Our next match is June 11.

Do you guys hold CASE courses anywhere else? Is there any prerequisite for it? How much does it cost? My summer is relatively free, so I am very interested...

No pre- Requisites. Cost is just to cover range costs and insurance, usually around $30-$40. You need to bring your own ammo, gun and gear.
DSS instructors are not paid a cent. We do this to get people into the dynamic shooting sports.
Currently the courses are held at either a Chilliwack or TMSA. Our 2 remaining courses for the year are sold out and, as mentioned, we are trying to get another at Chilliwack. The talk is for a weekday evening. Sign up at dssmatch.com for more info and correspondence.

I may be speed-friendly, but it would seem the trick I've yet to learn is to actually hit what you're shooting at:p. Probably could have slowed down my trigger finger a titch, lol.

Great match as always, nice bunch of guys in my squad that didn't hesitate to pitch in on the resets and teardown...I really enjoy these TacRifle events. Friendly people, relaxed atmosphere, and generous sponsors! Although I'm surprised Still Alive is still alive after the compressed hours he put into this match. Maybe he deserves it for the left handed dueling tree stage he snuck in there, though:).

My favorite pic taken by Rugerman was of my Shadow caught coming off the recoil.

It was a pleasure to be part of the set up crew for this event and I look forward to participating myself one day so on that note Chilliwack guys let's stay on their CASE to set up that two evening course out here ! See what I did there ?

The popcorn was great!

Lol, glad you enjoyed it!! A small contribution, but I figured with all that running around you boys might need a snack :)
Not that I'm trying to influence anyone, but the sooner I can get into a Case course, there will be more snacks at more events :)
It was cool just to help set up this time, and thanks to Trailskinpat also for showing up just to give a hand!
For any of you who haven't met these guys, Phat Eagle, Caje, Still Alive and Stinky Pete are a hell of a credit to this community, I have a ton of respect for the work you guys do to set these matches up,,,cheers!!
