Do you think, that lets say we do get a conservative majority next time that maybe just maybe we can get prohibs with just a restricted license? Just maybe!
 
Getting rid of the long-gun registry would be a good start.

It'd be nice to give the hunters the ability to hunt with a handgun; that'd be a step in the right direction and I don't think is being unreasonable.

I believed it will happen with a majority conservative government....WHY?.....just because...it is logical...don't you think?...

Yep, thats how I see it,
-Get rid of LGR,
-Get rid of ATT's (which from what I know is the only reason we cant shoot?hunt on crown lad with restricted) or get it to a "general ATT" which is good for anywhere.
-Then all rifles are non-restricted, or at least reduce the barrel limit to something like 14" and get the AR-15's off the list.

Politically, these are the most doable.

Long gun registry first of course.
 
I am not sure just how do able changes are. The RCMP seem to be controlling the politicians to a large extent at least as applies to the gun laws

I dont think that the rcmp should be the ones deciding wich guns are allowed and what we can do with them seems like an awful one sided decision maybe some pro firearms people should be involved.

I agree. lets not forget mag caps.

I think de-restricting ARs and unpinned mags would be HUGE and hopefully not too unreasonable following the fall of the LGR.

If that were possible, hunting (or hell, even shooting on crown land!) with handguns would be a dream come true!

Ya, and for some reason people get mad when you compare the RCMP to the gestapo. We live in a police state.
