Fellows,

What's the level of parts interchangeablity between Chinese and Russian SKS's? I don't own a russkie to try interchanging parts myself.

Which would be easier to build a spare parts kit for?

Thanks!

Pretty much all SKS's except for the Albanian and Yugo M59/66(certain parts in these) can interchange with one another parts wise. Expect to have to do some fitting cause thats how it was done in the factories. Much cheaper to pay a worker to do a bit of filing than to make all the parts the same spec.

Just to add the earlier Russians till mid 1951(in my experience) have a spring loaded firing pin, and the bolt is different thus so. I'm sure someone else with more knowledge on the subject can add more.

I hate to say this but...
Lever Arms should have plenty of spare parts for both platforms.
Between Russian & Chinese most parts are interchangable except for a few select parts. With that being said and if I could quote Hungry on this... "buy 2 of each or else your #### will fall off!"
