Chinese snipers win Military and Police Sniper World Cup ’11

Chinese snipers placed first in four of the five events at the 10th Military and Police Sniper World Cup in Budapest. Chinese sniper Xu Bo placed first overall, Qing Feng, also Chinese, came in second with Martin Kunz, of Austria, coming in at third. Nineteen countries had team participating, including Austria, Belarus, Britain, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland, USA, Ukraine and Vietnam.

Last year China used Remington rifles for the competition and placed third. It is not clear if this year they were using domestic rifles or imported target rifles. None of the rifles above resemble the JS 7.62, China's medium range sniper rifle chambered in 7.62x54R.

No Canucks participating? :(

Who cares really. If they game things like the other asian countries I've competed against the competition most likey is useless in figuring out who is actually the best.

Bring your issued gun and sight and issue ammo(the stuff that goes into combat not some special "competition ammo") and I'm sure our guys would do very well if not clean house. This things seems more like a competition to see who can bring the highest speed kit.

Doesn't matter what you Using, as long as you clean house. Even if you have to Use your Enemy weapon, that OK.
That Right it is a big deal.
Be good to see the Result when the Chinese go again Canadian(The BEST), maybe next year.

Don't forget that many countries stop (for security reasons) their top unit from participating in anything resembling a public competition or display. (France's GIGN, Germany's GSG-9 and most US special forces).
Years ago, the GSG-9 went to a couple of contest, won everything only to be never seen again.

Send a couple of Canadian boys with their BLR's and Savage 99's. This would at least make it competitive! ;)

Import Molson products for the night before, that'll really fix the competitors. :p
