You could try replacing the spring inside the stud that sets the position of the sight. On the one that I had, it had gotten so weak with repeated use that it would shift even when fired freehand.
I was unable to locate an origional spring, but was able to fashion one from spring steel wire from a hobby shop. If you are going to attempt to do so, be forwarned that it took me quite a bit of effort to get it right. I wound up with several yards of spring wire in various gauges and a lot of failed attempts. IIRC the way I wound up with a satisfactory spring was to anneal a piece of wire, roll it into a tight spiral, and then push it into a cone before re-heat treating it.
