Chinese mauser banner rifle

Hi all

Picked up one of these rifles at last weekends gunshow...She's been refurbed at some point (old century import perhaps ?)
Numbers matching except for the bolt...the bore is clean and has good rifling...The mauser banner is present but not very visible, as are the mauser werke stamping on the left side of the reciever..I'm not sure if this one is a mauser built rifle or a Chinese made copy...From pg 97 in mauser military rifles and the recievers that are copied. ..this one looks about right for orginal mauser markings...she also has a large oval stamp on the right side of the buttstock that has several chinese characters surrounding a star.Thoughts on her provenance..?..Chinese or German mfg..??

Thanks for posting all...this rifle is slightly different from the one in the pics Doug..she has a small rear sight...and for some reason ther is an oval hole in the wood ahead of the bbl band...it has a wear pattern that looks like something was attached there..possibly rope or an ad hoc sling of some sort, the stock is solid otherwise..ill try and get pics up later today..
