Chinese mauser. Hello all. I have what I believe is a Chiang kai shek mauser. It's stocked up like a k98k for the most part except for a straight bolt handle. I have included pictures of the markings hopefully they come out. I was hoping some of you fellers would know more about it or if that's even what it is. Before each serial number is an Asian non rotated swastika as well.

Yup. That is a Type 24 Zhong Zheng Rifle, also known as "Chiang Kai Shek" rifle. The chinese characters seems to be "留用", meaning reserved for later use. Republic Year 33 is 1944. If you can, upload more pictures, like the bore and action. My Type 24 rifle has good rifling but has been counter bored.

The characters on the top say Zhong Zheng Shi or Zhong Zheng Type/Pattern. Imperial China. They are what is now the Republic Of China (Taiwan). That is not a swastika. The Asians, including India, have been using that symbol as a good luck charm for thousands of years.
