Looks like we have a winner there on EE. Saw a Chinese Chiang kai shek Mauser on EE today and the seller ask for like 1800, as I asked him about the pics and he said the gun's sold already and not willing to share any pics (clearly not sold since he didn't even change anything on his thread yet). So here comes a question: does a Chinese type 24 that has a mismatched bolt really worth more than an RC k98? I remember last year people bought them on auctions for like under 800 and even cheaper in the states. Maybe that 1800 it's a price that some rich Chinese kids can afford, who knows.

last one i saw was in horrible (but original) condition and for 350$-400$. Not even sure it sold. It takes just one buyer willing to pay that much, but i sincerely doubt it

Edit: biggest problem with chinese mauser is not the unmatching parts, but the rotten bore

Well, people in CGN usually have knowledge above the average gun owners I believe, nobody would usually pay 1800 for a milsurp bolt gun unless it's rare or highly collectible and the guy has won the lottery.

Welcome to 2020 the rifle is not being imported or in stock anywhere. There is no authority on the price, it varies. It's his rifle he can charge what he likes for it. Dont like it dont buy it.

A Chinese Mauser just sold at auction within the last couple of months. With buyers premium and taxes, it was pushing $2000.

So people are buying at that price range for these types of rifles.
