Hi just picked up a sweet matching #s factory 16 Chinese Sks for 239.99$ seems like a decent price. Not sure what they're going for? Pics soon :)

They were in better shape then the hardwood Russians at the same $ mind you for 10$ more the laminated Russians are nice. The bluing is nice on the Chinese rifles however the stocks seem sandy and gritty.
 
Local Canadian tire store. Id imagine refurbs 2 out of 10 were all matching #. There were a few that didn't have the triangular factory # it was some different marking I'll go back and take some pics.
 
I just got mine in their not blued, Its like a VZ58 style Finnish. Nothing line the BBQ paid on the Russian SKS refurb.

Stock are interesting, yet ugly at the same time. Nice grain in the wood unlike beach but grainy as mentioned above.
 
Hmmm, I wonder which CT locations will be stocking them. I get the feeling we may be seeing quite a few of these things around.

Yes, North Sylva brought in refurbs and unissued non refurbs too, a local CTC is bringing in a few non. Refurbs but hasn't received them yet!
 
Hi so here's some pics, I boiled off the Cosmo last night and gave her a clean, and yes replaced the stock drop mag with the tapco not sure why but I do it for everyone I own lol. So during cleaning I found that the bolt and carrier #s match and appear to be unfired the firing pin is crisp faced and there is no movement marks on any internal part including trigger mechanism or receiver. So matching #s on bolt,bolt carrier,reciever,reciever cover, trigger assembly and stock. I'm fairly certain that it is a factory 16 and fairly early production by the serial # They had 1 more all matching # however the stock was lighter in colour with side mount sling swivel and had no #s , would this be an original/ no refurb?image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

My mag was so pitted I could see through the metal in some spots lol. Tossed on a russian one to replace it. The rust was in hidden spots under the stock atlest.

The rest of the metal was fine tho. So the mag was a small issue.
