Just saw the pictures of these Chinese SKS's, the bayonets are longer than the regular ones.

DUDE!! Who can import those? I want a chrome SKS!!!

+2, I'd also love one.
But they are Honour guard only, in Russia, China, and North Korea.

Some versions of the Chinese ones were sold years back in the USA before the ban on Norinco stuff.

Mind you one could always get their standard SKS chromed. :D

there is one exactly like your pic on auction , starting bid $500.

i noticed the US ones front sights are not chromed and missing bayos compared to the IMBANE's pic .

i dont know about chroming ourselves cos it wont be considered a collectable, not an orginal .

from auction :Up for auction is one of my favorites, a Chinese Honor Guard SKS. One of less than 300 imported to the best of my knowledge. This rifle is chromed and the wood is of a beautiful finish. It has never been fired. I would rate it better than 97%.

New honour guard Fifle

The Rifles on the picture are newly issued Honour Guard Rifle with extended bayonet and stock. They are currently used by China National Flag Guard at Tiananmen Square. Soon will be issued to all honour guards of all Chinese provinces.

Why longer is because generally the body height requirement for a honour guard in China is 6 feet.

We require a good profile shot of the carbine. That would definitely be interesting.

hard to believe that the frugal chinese would bother to make/design a new stock and new bayo for a handful of SKS.

the porportion of the bayo to the rifle in the pic is the same as my reg spike SKS, i think its the angle shot of the pic that makes it look longer .

I agree. I'd have to see some detail pics to be convinced. Not even the hand picked guards at Lenin's tomb carry anything but a standard SKS with a white sling on it. Same goes for any pics of E.European honour guards I've seen. The most modified "guard" SKS I've seen are the N. Koreans with the side folder bayonet and funky silver stock inserts.
