chip mcormick shotting star mag prob

hi when i use my chip mcormick shotting star mags in my 1911 i cant close the slide by using the slide release button but it works well when ever i use my other mags and i tried my chip mcormick shotting star mags in my other 2 1911s and i have the same problem is this normal with these mags?...Dan
