Been bringing a few of these in and they are a pretty nice stock. A lttle harder to find good stocks for savage. This one is for a centerfeed DBM savage in 4.4 screw spacing.

I believe it can be fitted with minor work. Drop in for the the regular bolt release

Just sent you my EMT for one of those with the bottom metal to make my Stevens a DBM. I'll post up photos when it gets here and I have everything installed.
I've been looking for a good tactical/target stock for my 4.4" spacing Stevens and it has been nigh on impossible here north of the 49th. Yes I know I could buy a higher end stock (e.g. a Robinson) but I figured for the price of the Choate I could get a fully adjustable beastie and I figured a less expensive stock that really fits me well is better than a better quality/much higher cost stock that might not fit me.
I still have to scope out my M305 so if I ever get my but out deer hunting, I can use the battle rifle. The Stevens will be dedicated for target once I get that stock in house.

This one looks better and appears better designed than the one I have, which came with my 10FP LE package. You still have to bed the action tough, then it will becomes sweet. Well with a real tactical scope and an acceptable bipod, that is...

I don't know about you but $654 is a bit more then a couple hundred.
Not knocking Roberson composites; they do great work. Just that the price of all those little extras adds up very quickly if you want the same accessories found on the Choate. If you compared basic versions of both then yes the price difference is only a few hundred.
Honestly, for someone like me and most other folks I know, the stock isn't going to be the limiting factor for accuracy so we can afford to skimp a bit there. Especially if it means we can put an additional ammo downrange (Buying a choate means I can push 1600 rounds through the pipe compared to the Rob).

haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet but it feels pretty solid n it sure looks pretty.
Damn I love the looks of that! The one pictured by Juan has all black (metal or plastic?) whereas yours and Mystic's have that nice SS look on the comb and but. Are they all like this? I prefer that look to the all black...
Also, how do you like the stock so far? I love the look and the price, jsut not sure how it stands up to the real deal (Macmillan A5).
I also like the sling attachments on the side, would make using a backpack style sling feasable...

The Choate adjustable parts are milled from a very good quality alum. I would say this stock is as durable as anything on the market today for rough use. The outer polymer casing is TOUGH and the stock is completely weatherproof.
With all the adj bits, it is a heavy stock but not much more then comparable products.
If you want that "white" look, just bead blast all the alum parts. They only come in black now.

To be precise, the stock in the OP is a Choate "Tactical Custom", not the standard "Tactical". Custom adds the adjustable cheek and butt plate to the standard tactical. Thus the higher price.

Really like the stock... Gun now is heavy as hell but it its extremely solid and it greatly increased comfort and accuracy over the basic 10fp stock... Conversion to detachable mag is good too. overall, well worth the money.
