Just finished giving my trap gun a good cleaning with a new to me product called "Gunzilla".
I bought a bottle at TSC, just because it didn't stink. I usually end up with a headache after using the usual solvents (Hoppes #9, WD-40) in the past.
WOW. It is the best cleaner I have ever used. (No, I'm not shilling!). The barrels are mirror like with just a couple of passes. Choke tubes that I normally have to soak in acetone for an hour and use a brass brush in an electric drill to remove the plastic fouling came out plastic free with just a 5 min spritz and a quick scrub with a brass brush.
The 2nd best feature of this stuff is that I could clean the gun in the house and not stink the wife and kids out. Garage is getting cold this time of year. No headache afterward, either.
Just thought someone else might like to know about it if they were having the same issues as I was.
PS
Does anyone using sewing machine (Lily white stainless) oil to lube their guns instead of gun oil? I used some after my cleaning but am wondering if it is not viscous enough for gun storage and lubrication??
