hi guys...just got a used shotgun and....and can`t remove a choke tube...it stuck....
any advice how to remove it........
thanks a lot

We soaked a friends in a pill bottle full of Kano Kroil overnight, next day it screwed out easily. I've heard of people using heat, but you'll want to be careful so you don't damage the finish.

Get some PB blaster and spray it into the space, at the top of the barrel, and spray it from the bottom of the barrel, let it soak for a few hours, repeat, sit, repeat until it comes loose.

Never loosen'd off a rusty nut or bolt?

removed..thanks guys.....

looked like somebody was shooting something unusual....
after an hour in the chest freezer, I got it out but hardly :(
when I got it out, the choke was oversized and had thread traces on the untreated body......

2 options:
1 - way too soft choke tube....
2 - slug shot through MODIFIED*** choke

any thoughts?????

Slugs can be shot through full choke tubes so that would not have been the problem. Could be from Steel being shot through a lead only tube, you never know.

Maybe somebody tried putting the wrong threaded choke into the threads and forced it in.

the thread on the remover choke is OK, BTW it`s Stoeger 2000 and stoeger choke tube, but the unthreaded part of the body lhas larger diameter than suppose to be....
I will try to post picture of the choke :)
and that is a Stoeger choke tube...not an aftermarket :)

ad all chokes I have can be easily installed and remover by hand...so the barrel thread is ok.....
