What is the difference between the chokes that came with my Benelli Supernova and after market chokes. Is a choke that has a .710" constriction the same whether it is factory or aftermarket. I have been using imp. cyl. With good success so far for duck hunting.

You're Benelli chokes will be just fine for the shooting you do. Trap guys like to
try out aftermarket chokes to gain an edge, but for the most part, if you have good
loads that work for you with your style of shooting, then ya should be good to go.:)

So far I have been hitting ducks with it the way it is. I have only had the gun a couple weeks and haven't patterned it yet. I got the gun off the EE and previous to this I had been shooting my old 870 with a poly choke which last time I was waterfowling worked fine but then we were still shooting lead. The 870 doesn't shoot steel well at all. I am going to try a few different loads and go from there.

Your benneli chokes are good to go IMO. Polychokes lack a parallel or straight section of the constricted diameter, todays factory chokes are superior. Some aftermaket chokes have extended parralel sections, lengthened taper (forcing cone) which pattern better. I am told ported chokes dont actually reduce recoil and are not worth it. You should be able to find a winning combo for any shot within benneli factory chokes.
