chokes for 870 marine

I read on the Remington site that all 870 barrels are interchangeable, so perhaps a different barrel with removable chokes would be a better option?

I had my 870MM threaded for rem chokes a few years ago at epps , think it cost 75 to have it done.

I was thinking about ordering the reamer and tap to thread my barrel for chokes as well.
