Chokes for 870 MM

I was wondering if it is possible to have the barrel on an 870 MM machined so I can use chokes. Some people I have talked to have said yes others no. If anyone has had it done please let me know thanks.

yes you can get thinwall chokes for it..... had one done about 10 years ago and it shot like a dam, was not proofed for steel though as it was just coming in back then.

Agree with Westicle. You should be able to get the thinner walled chokes put in. Had a barrel hacked about 10 years ago, from 30 inch full choke to a 26 inch barrel with screw in chokes. Offhand I cannot remember the name of the choke put in, but I could look just as easy. Again you SHOULD be able to, but check with a few smith's first just to make sure.
