Any idea if these are still available anywhere? I remember reading about them, but don't know if they are for sale.

Those extended releases are made from Costa's beard hair. Basically they're indestructible, and no mortal man could operate that slide release.

2 were ever made

1 went to Chuck Norris (who said it hurt his thumb)

1 went to Lorenzo Lamas (who crushed it with a 20 ton press and snorted it)

Go to 21st Century Gunfighter - they make batches that sell very quickly. Don't know if they ship north.

Thanks. I had a link to 21st Gunfighter, but it must have been the wrong address. I guess I should just have Googled it. Anways, I put in a pre-order to see what happens.

Costa has such a goldmine going for himself.....Anything he uses or has his name on people go nuts for. Raven Concealment, Nighthawk, LaRue, Etc.

He's smart enough not to put his name on, or use, garbage gear. Raven was the "insider's" holster for years, (I got mine in 2008, after reading KevinB's comments - thanks Kevin, great advice! ) long before anyone knew who Costa was, ditto Nighthawk and LaRue. All he's doing is highlighting the top quality stuff that the high speed guys already use. Really it's a no brainer for him, because he sees it on every course. People go for the gear because he hasn't pushed any junk.

If you look at the stuff the guy uses, it's all premium gear - KAC Rifles, High Speed gear rigs, Nighthawk pistols and shotguns, Aimpoint sights - really, you can't lose with any of that stuff, if he puts a face on good gear and gets paid (for some of it - not all) good for him.

No idea WHY on the M&P - other than LAV did one for the Glock -- but I don't think the M&P needs one (personally).

He's a marketing genius -- once again no idea why he has such an adoring fan base, -- but he has it unlike anyone I have seen, but a really thing about Chris, is he's not going to put his name to junk, unlike some other folks in the market.

Occasionally I have to break my grip to release the magazine quickly. I figure for $30 it's worth trying.

lol
