Christmas came early!!! S&W 686

Well picked up my Christmas present from the gf today. A 6 inch stainless S&W 686. Picked it up from Roger at shooters choice. Great guy to deal with, he even through in a little christmas gift. This is my first revolver and after fondling it since I brought it home, it won't be my last. In my opinion it's a beautiful gun. Trigger is great in double action and amazing in single action. I really like how clean it is, that was the one thing I didn't like about the GP100. To much crap written on the barrel. The grip is pretty much perfect for me. The rubber grips are really comfortable. Only thing I'm not really crazy about is the finish on the trigger and hammer. Well here's some pics:

Nice gun. Internal lock is a non-issue.

Roger is great to deal with. First place I check for everything.

Never had an issue with the frame lock. Nice addition!

Add another inch to the barrel and a 7th hole in the cylinder--and you have my next handgun ;-) Beautiful gun. I have always loved the 686 series.

Ya I'm not a big fan of the Hillary hole either but I can overlook it.

On a side note. Anyone ever replaced the hammer and trigger with stainless steel ones, if they're available?

I miss my 686-3. Finish is better on the older ones, but a new 686 is still a fantastic revolver.
