Christmas present from me to me

So what makes an AK-102 an ak-102? I'm guessing the extra digit means it's an improvement over the 47, but how so?

In addition to the above, the 100 series was made for export sales. "100" was the (old Soviet) designation for the Izhvesk factory complex where these are made. Hence the AK-100 series (offered in different barrel lengths and calibres).

Apparently better finished than the typical AK, and significantly more accurate, esp. in the 223 and 545 versions is what I've been able to gather.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but as a Commonwealth citizen are we not granted the right to live and work in any other Commonwealth nation?

Earthquakes aside, I'm very much liking the idea of moving to New Zealand...

so i grabbed a sh*tty Airsoft AK mag off a local airsofter and chopped it up so it would fit .. thats why it isnt seated properly, before anyone asks.. because its not a real mag.

some bling on the thing

Saiga AK-102

currently wearing an Ultimak rail.. and the gross 5 round factory mag
skeleton stock and new grip are on the way.. that dragunov stock destorys your hands

Trigger has a longer pull than i would like but breaks at around 3.5lb .. so no real complaints. i expected worse ( its an AK afterall )
