chrome lining a barrel

to my mind not a good idea, the actual shape of a rifled barrel would create problems.. uneven disposition of deposit because of irregular shape and poor bonding on corners might cause problems.

i was just wondering if it was possible for a gunsmith to chrome line on my cz-858 barrel

Chrome lining isn't something most gunsmiths would be set up to do... I don't know any...

... plus the other associated problems already mentioned.

The FN SPR rifles don't seem to be doing too badly with chromed barrels though...

hsld.

Yeah. It was not bunged into anybodies chrome tank "after" it was rifled, either.

All the hard chromed barrels out there are done under factory conditions where the plans and tooling all take into account that the chrome is part of the plan.
I have seen little to give much hope for the very few platers that do inside of barrels, but there are some around.
