Does anyone know of past good experiences with the de-chroming of guns.I would appreciate knowing what to do and the results I could expect. Tks ! Gadgets

Well, I can give you a lot of advice, much like advising you how to rebuild your own automatic transmission, but here's a link to my price list on refinishing which includes stripping. You WILL spend a lot more in time and money doing this stuff yourself

Easy to do if you have the plating solutions and set up (anodes and power supply). You just inverse the polarity of the anode. You must watch frequently because deplating can damage de base metal if overdone. You can find info in the Caswell Plating manual. Email me, I can send you a scan of the relevant pages of the manual if you decide to do it yourself.
