Chromed bore shotgun

I'm about to buy a nice side-by-side shotgun (Siace), but the bore are not chrome lined. What is your opinion on this???

Also, anyone knows Siace???

Siace (pronounced si-AH-cheh) is a fine Brescian firm which produces a wide range of shotguns and double rifles. In addition to their own line, they build the Superlight SXS for Dakota Arms. They make a hammer gun that always sets me to drooling. I haven't seen any in Canada. Which model are you looking at?

Do not even think about a chrome lined bore. Siace knows how to make highly polished barrel bores, coating them with chrome would not improve them. Just remember to clean the barrels once in a while, although with this gun I suspect you will be polishing it all the time anyway. Nice find - pics?

Don't have any pics yet, but my smith has 2 for sale in 20ga. One brand new and the other one slightly used. He is the only one to import them in Canada. They sell around 5000 and 8000$ depending on model and option. The wood is a-w-s-o-m-e!!! I have a beretta o/u Silver Pidgeon III with very nice figured wood, but it is nothing compare to the Siace. Also it is all hangraved. Very nice!
