Chrono 30-06 tailor mades

I did for 150's and 165's once and was getting 100-200 fps slower then on the box if I remember right. That said my reloads are well within published data and can normally get what is says on the box pretty easily.

Slower than what? There is no speed listed on box.

You can usually get the advertised velocities on the manufacturer's web sites, if they are not on the boxes. However, you will hardly ever get the velocities they say they get.

I've only chronoed practice ammo, UMC 150gr FMJ out of my Garand. I got 2,854 fps, according to my notes. A little much for that rifle, but I didn't know better at the time. Hunting ammo is usually slower thant what the manufacturer says and reloads can easily better them. With my reloads I am getting a max of 2,840 fps with Speer 180gr SPBT out of my 24" Voere M98, almost as fast as the 165gr Hornady GMX out of the same rifle.

I chronied some Federal 180's that were loaded with Grand Slams and they were actually doing a good 2700 out of my 22" barrelled Remington 7600. I was surprised to say the least. Fairly warm day though.

I chronographed some Federal blue box 150s last year, and got the advertised 2950 out of them. The same rifle isn't setting any speed re cords with heavier bullets. I was a bit surprised.
