Can anyone suggest a moderately priced, simple, chronograph? Not looking for all the bells and whistles, the ability to log the last 5-10 rounds would be about the most I'd need/want (at this point).
Make sure to get the Master version (the one with the wire attached to skyscreens and readout sits at shooting position) Forget the Mod # at moment.
Reason: anyone who shoots over a Chrony long and often enough will eventually "Nail" (2x4me) the skyscreen box. With the Master version the "brain" is undamaged and Chrony will sell replacement skyscreen box very reasonable. Also having the readout and controls at your reach is a benefit.
Once in awhile Chrony has refurbished models on sale if you check thier site.
If you haven't shot your chrony yet,you are not using it enough!!!!

I always wondered what the "Master" versions entailed. That actually makes a lot more sense; I've seen guys step forward of the line to reset a chrony I don't know how many times!
Likely, a dumb question. How does one set one up at an indoor range? Set up tri-pod right in front of shooting bench or just place it on shooting bench? Haven't thought about this but my range has auto retrieval. Do I have to call cease fire to set up right in front of bench!? If so, that would not be very cool.
yeah, its a pain in the ass and I never shoot indoors either but it was good to know that it does work. I had a friend who wanted check the speed on his air rifle .
