What would be the value of one of these. There's one in lgs on consignment.has a beech wood looking stock, anschutz aperature sights.bore looks ok.trigger breaks clean and light.condition about 8 out of 10.Has a nice pad on the butt of the stock. He's asking $475.I would have to pay taxes on top.

Don't mean to side track your post but….why do some LGS's charge taxes on consignment firearms and some don't? Does Turdo and the girls get to spend it….

my wife just picked one up from the local gun store for $125. It is minty clean and the bluing is near perfect. Very nice rifles and I have wanted one for a while to add to her .22 collection. I'm cheap but got lucky and if I did not come across this deal, I would have paid up to $250 for one.

I payed $400+tax for one a few months back. Didn't even have sights. Was in great shape though and I had been after one for a while.
If it was me I'd buy it for that price. Been looking for another, I have 2 sons in a junior rifle program, cil 180's and 190's seem to be the rifle of choice for the program.

If it's a used gun they took on trade they need yo charge tax on it. If it is a true consignment then it's really just brokering a deal between two private people so no tax just like the EE. The consignee may have to pay tax on the fee charge by the lgs though (I'm not sure about that).

It's in VG condition, I offered $400.I'll see what comes out of it.

What happened? Did you get it?

No I never heard back from them. Not going to over pay for something even in decent shape. It would cost me just over $500 if I paid the asking price. If another deal doesn't come up I plan on buying a 64 br from Nordic when they come in.

If your not interested anymore would you mind letting me know which place had it for sale.
