CIL 310/ Anschutz 1416

I recently picked up a CIL 310. The question is which rings to use? Looking to go with 11mm dovetails but having searched this site I found the rounded receiver has caused some people issues. The BKL rings looked like a good option but availability is a problem. I'm leaning toward the Talley 22TRH rings. The question is whether to go low or high. Your thoughts please.

How big are your optics? On a .22LR sporter, I'd think low rings and a small magnification scope will be fine. You have to consider your cheek position too for good shooting.
 
D&L Airgun has a few set of BKL rings in stock.

OP what is your barrel diameter?

I know my 1403 has BKL rings and a scope with 40mm I got enough clearance.
my 64S has weaver bases and Med Burris rings with 20moa inserts and with my 44mm scope I got few mm of clearance.
 
This is the rifle. A sporter with standard barrel. Optics will be 3-9x40mm max. Trying to not dominate the rifle with oversized optics8746.jpg
 
I've had a couple rimfires with that rounded receiver-top profile that can be a problem for scope mounting. I've found that Millett rimfire rings work beautifully, they have a concave underside that fits those rounded receivers. Clamping screws on both sides allow for a wee bit of windage adjustment, although of course the round top limits that. They're nicely contoured and finished, solid steel, very decent rings.

No idea if they are even still made, might have to haunt gun shows to find any.

Hi guys, I have an Anschutz 1903 MSR Silhouette with a 3-18x56 Zerotech scope and shot the following six shot group at 200 on Friday with Eley T Tenex. First time using the ammo and it was spectacular. The Scope is fantastic. Check them out, they are out of Australia. have fun.Testing Eley Tenex.jpg

If your receiver is factory drilled and tapped (has screw holes): The MDT Anschutz 64 Picatinny Scope Base will likely bolt straight onto your rifle. This gives you a really secure setup with a built-in 20 MOA incline for extended elevation adjustments, plus you will get a lot of flexibility and scope options.

Or go with proper weaver ( I think I used #16s ) and Burris signature rings. If they need more elevation.

This guy has the hunting/small game rifle built on the 64 action. No real need for MOA bases and 56mm Obj scopes.

A 3-9 or 4-12 would be just fine.

OP tomorrow Ill get picks of my 4-12x40 with BKL rings on my 1403 ( one with apetures )
