I am trying to find the little plastic piece that screws onto the back of the forestock for my CIL 402 12 gauge and I'm not having any luck. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place that might have the part. I picked up the gun as a Christmas present for my younger brother and would like to put an unbroken one on.

The CIL402 is the same as the Remington model 812. Both made by CBC in Brazil. I have them & know the piece you mean. Seems to be a weak link as I've read other threads similar to yours. Try Brownells!

I tried Western Gun Parts and they don't hae anything for it at all. I tried calling Brownells and they don't seem to have anything either. Anyone have an extra one they would be willing to part with or know of someone making metal ones?

I've owned a few different 402's...all had the broken fore-stock spacer.

My local smith informed me e has made aluminum ones in the past but, honestly, I n'er pursued it...the function just fine without them. He's not "cyber friendly" and, I'm not allowed to post particulars on-line but, will gladly ask him about thecost when I see him next.

I don't think they are all the same...what Gauge is your's?

Maybe you could see if one from a NEF Pardner shotgun would be an acceptable fit. Even if the curvature does not fit exactly, you possible could bed the other end into the forend. It's worth a try and I don't think there is a lot of variation in the curvature radius on these sort of forearm spacers. Best regards, Tony

PS I have a nylon one around for an NEF Handi Rifle, if you want it you can have it for free. :)

I also have a CIL model 402 in a 410 gauge with the same issue. I have always wondered if anyone else had the same problem with the spacer.I picked this gun up back in the 70's for about 50.00 from Canadian Tire.
