Same gun also the Canadian sportsman 269 and I believe one other version which eludes me at the moments 60's vintage. . Not trying to discourage but they are not very good guns they have a few inherent issues

produced up until 1988 and as struff 55 says they had some serious issues
The savage 67 was rebranded by a pile of stores etc to name just a few

Aldens 670, Springfield 67.
Gamble Skogkmo 567
J.C. Penney 6670
J.C. Higgins 6670H
Sears 101

Could you elaborate on the inherent issues?
I have one (replaced with a Browning Silver) that has taken up failing to feed and failing to eject under hard use... So I have a single shot pump effectively...

Oh ya, I know they are bad guns, but I don't care I got it for free.

Free is always good. Congrats
Bad I guess compared to a 870 or mossy 500 with the same number of rounds but if you like to tinker and have parts they are somewhat like a 1100 remington and you can keep them going . Use them a lot and expect broken lifter springs and side bars, broken firing pins, ejection issues ,and bent shell stops etc are more common with the Model 67 than most other types. Few boxes a year they are probally fine which is why someone will chime in and say I have had one forever and it works perfect. They are no wingmaster that is for sure
Cheers

Basically don't spend any money on repairing any version of that model when guys would bring them into the shop for repair I would say what do u want me to do with it the factory could make them work from the Sart people would ce in with them new in the box never even fired it and they would not work . Buy something of quality Bps, wingmaster even a mossberg 500
