Hey all,
I bought a CIL 621 pump 12g a while back that wasn't racking properly, and have since fixed that problem, but noticed that if I pulled the trigger before the bolt was closed, the firing pin would engage. I checked on other more modern shotguns, and their firing pins would not engage until the bolt was fully closed.
Is this something that still needs to be fixed, or is it just something that older guns can do?
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks
EDIT: After some expermenting with some unloaded shells, I found that while the trigger would pull, the firing pin wouldn't hit the primer unless the bolt was fully closed. So no safety issue.
