CIL Ammo Any Good??

So a friend gave me 3 boxes of CIL 38 special lead bullet and one of the boxes are wadcutters. CIL went out of business in the 80's. So these rounds are now 35 +/- years old. Are they good to fire? I've got a couple of 357 pistols I'd like to fire them thru. Feedback is appreciated.

i had some old CIL 22's and they were fine, i checked it if had some corrosion around the ammo just to be on the safe side and blasted away.. Yours should be fine just like the good old 7.62x39 from the 50's.. just my 2 cents..

I have Imperials that don't even have french on the box and they were bought in Quebec that still go bang. I tried a few of the Whiz Bangs also and the 25 Stevens and they also go bang and they have to be as old as I am.

Never heard of Imperial ammo NOT working. It'll go bang

Ive used all kinds of old ammo, some from the 40's & 50's. And it always worked for me.

CIL(Not out of business. Just out of the ammo business. And it was in the late 60's.) ammo can be collector stuff, but whether or not it'll go bang depends entirely on how it's been stored.
