CIL Anschutz model 16?

So I bought this sweet little single shot CIL .22 and it shoots well indeed.

It’s marked model 16 but that doesn’t seem to make sense? Or does it?


I was poking around and there’s a floor plate screwed into the bottom of the action.
I’ll bet that floor plate can be removed and the stock opened up to accept a magazine.
Am I right?

Okay shooter…. Thanks! I feel a bit dumb now, I couldn’t see the 7 under the scope and I didn’t want to take it off to check further.
I struggled a bit getting the scope level and didn’t want to go through that again… my young daughter with the good eyes was able to peer under and confirm it’s a 167.
