So a while ago I inherited a 1914 savage 1899H takedown and a 1950 savage 99 300savage. They came with scads of factory CIL and dominion ammo. Included was an old but almost as new 500 round box of Canuck 22 Long Rifle standard velocity greased rimfire, Lot# RF 566, with 4, 50 round full boxes inside, all in mint condition. Plus a box of 50 remington CBEE22 Low velocity. A whole pile of collector condition empty boxes as well.
Trying to find an approximate value of this 22 ammo as I am not really a collector and intend to sell it or trade for something I can use.
The savage 99's... Keeping the 300 savage for a deer rifle but the 1899H takedown 22HP and 4 boxes of Imperial 70gr PSP are going on the EE shortly hehehe

Will get some pics up of the 22 ammo n stuff.
Was a cool find

Well, not a very entertaining thread LOL but I have an update ....
In with the stuff I inherited is a few old single shot 22's.
And as luck would have it one of them is a fine functioning but a little worn cosmetically, Canuck 22. Single shot bolt action. The open sights work great and I took a northern BC camp mouse with a center mass shot at 20 paces with one of them canuck 22 bullets.
It's a tiny little rifle and I'm gonna keep it and the ammo LOL

Nice that you have people wanting to gift you their guns. I guess I need to be nicer to my relatives. Although one friend did give me my Win 94.

Ha, I'm the black sheep of the family LOL, doubt anyone in my family is leavin me much .
These came from an old guy that was my neighbor who recently passed.
I guess "inheritted" is the wrong word, gifted would be more appropriate. Though I didn't get around to picking it all up till his wife reminded me months later.

Some of that 22 ammo and the boxes might be worth some $$.
Gun shows always seem to have a seller that has a collection and the prices
on center fire ammo always amazes me.
Not odd to see four or five dollars a round X 20.
Best I could do with some old Imperial odd rounds was $40 a box of 20.
Seems there is an EE ad running for WTB old factory ammo in collectors condition.

I just tossed an old Imperial 22 Long Rifle box out.
The one with the hard plastic yellow base with the brown fifty hole insert.
At one time this old box was near mint.

Nice gift 45ACPK..........
