I have a CIL mod 121 single shot which was made by Anschutz. I refinished and reblued it, sentimental reasons, deadly accurate and easy to handle. Where the 2 bolt halves connect is broken, apparently quite common, still fires but only about 70% of the time. Anyone know where I can get a bolt, tried Western Gun Parts, no luck. It is single shot, single extractor. Would buy entire rifle if bolt intact and reasonably priced. Any advice greatly appreciated!
Thanks,

Is it possible that the striker retaining nut has backed off somewhat, resulting in a lighter blow to the firing pin?

The front half of the bolt has a crimped portion on opposite sides that holds the back half by turning 1/4 turn. This crimped portion is broken away on one side, a welder friend tried to repair it but it doesn't track straight in the action, so it doesn't always dent the rim enough to fire.:(

Check your gun to see where it was made. The CIL model 125 is a ANSCHUTZ model 184 made in GERMANY. If your CIL model 121 is also made in GERMANY , it may be an ANSCHUTZ and you could try to get parts from that direction. Unfortunately none of my Brand name cross reference sources include the model 121 and only one includes the model 125. Good Luck.

The 121 has a terrible bolt, and yes, it is common for them to break.
I don't have any of them left, your best bet would be to look for a parts gun..:(

If I can' t find a bolt I would definitely buy a parts gun or even one in good working order. Anyone out there have one they would part with? They were definitely not one of Anschutz's finer moments! Too bad they used such a poor bolt design.

Got the broken bolt TIG welded by a fellow gunnut:cool: and rifle off to a machinist/gunsmith and it's almost ready.:dancingbanana:
I would however still like another bolt just in case this one breaks again. Anyone???:bangHead:
