Uhhh. No. That's not how barrel length laws work in this country. Gunsmith would have to put a new barrel on it, can't cut an existing barrel shorter than 18.

Why have manual action guns that don't take advantage of Canadian laws? Since this is a fixed stock it wouldn't even need to be 26 inches or have a long barrel.

I recently received the 44-40 version and am quit happy with it. After the New Year I will be ordering another possibly the 44 cap and ball. An extra cylinder in 45 Schofield would also be interesting.

The Ranch Hand and KSG tactical prove this is not correct. It's only R if it collapses, folds, etc, can be fired while collapsed, folded, etc, AND it's under 26" when collapsed, folded, etc.

Or if the RCMP decides it's a handgun. They did that with the 9" barrel Ranch Hands, and some pistol grip only super short pump 12ga.

Or could get a blank and have the smith make you a barrel at whatever length you want. Just can't cut an existing barrel below 18.

This. If I could get one of these in .44mag you'd have my money. Particularly if it had a shorter barrel to just make the 26" OAL.
