CISM shooting

CISM in general can be a cliquey group to break into where you need to be invited or known by the players. I tried the .32 cal olympic pistol style once in Gagetown and did not really dig it but it was something different to try. I'd like to learn more about it anyway, the annual military games championships are held in some pretty interesting locations.

Been trying to figure this out for years and can't get any answers.I applied once but got turned down.Apparently I don't shoot well enough.

Something tells me the guys at the top of the service rifle game have all the skills they need to shoot with CISM. Lets see one of those guys hump their rifle on a 500m rundown and still score V-Bulls. Bringing lots of new people into the small sport means less easy overseas trips for the same old crew.

We can find out who the CF sponsor is for the sport and post it here with the application process.

CISM 300m shooting is EXTREMELY different than service rifle. I know because I have done both competitively.

If someone wants to break into teh CISM world of rifle shooting (a good go!) they first need to establish their abilities in competitive smallbore 3-P shooting.

If anyone wants more info, please drop me a line.

Just like how we are greeted when we fly into Ottawa.

Another interesting fact is that many members of the team are CIC officers -- I know of at least three. And the pistol coach is one of the best in the country.
