"If that were the case, the .223 model would take proprietary magazines as well, which it does not. I find it unfair for the .308 model to suffer and the .223 model doesn't appeal to me at all"

This would totally depend on when the firearm was originally put into production.

Any new model invented after C-21 will need to take proprietary 5-round magazines.

If it wasn't for that pesky reference number backdoor registry, I would buy one of these.
And this is exactly what the corrupt Liberals wanted.
Just buy one and enjoy. The reference number means absolutely nothing. Except the CFC validated your firearms license.
Don’t play into the corruption and fear!….:(
Heck, buy two! LOL…:)

That's very incorrect. It applies a reference number between 2 parties for a firearm. So you'll need to come up with said firearm or face the consequences. Purchased between a store and yourself? Oh, let's check the stores sales records that they need to keep for 25 years. Thunderhog bought _________, knock knock.

It would be naive to think that this couldn't happen.

A .308 verson of the Alcor .223?

If thats the case, hopefully the recently announced Crusader furniture kit will work on this.
Hopefully , the barrel is threaded (unlike the Alcor) and maybe they can have a threaded muzzle in future....

Sorry, try again.
The boots would need a warrant to obtain any information like you describe.
And RPG (reasonable and probable grounds), that a crime was committed.
Without a warrant, it means nothing.
Yes the store has records, but it’s not all that easy to obtain without the required warrant.
In addition, if you sold that said purchase, there would be no record.
So believe what you need to, and continue to live in FEAR my friend.
Fear is the new virus….:)

Yes, that's correct. So far the only youtube coverage of these rifles are in Russian and it seems they've had these for years, and their versions of this rifle takes AR10 magazines. I dont think it would be difficult to get the same model imported to the delight of prospective buyers, looking to use easily sourced/already owned magazines (such is my case and want for a semi .308)

This video shows the exact same single-stack magazine that we have here.
He starts loading the magazine at the 9-minute mark.

OK? I'm still firm on my view that having it not take better magazines is unfair when the .223 model gets away with it, likely being a C21 thing. It doesn't make sense to be a C21-specific thing if Russian-market rifles have the same magazines, when Russian magazine restrictions (mainly capacity restrictions) are different than ours. In another thread I've heard it mentioned AR10-mag compatable AD500s are out there somewhere, but not here it seems, likely on a long enough timeline maybe they'd show up through an importer/distributor? I'd like to remain hopeful something along those lines would be possible

If you own restricteds they have the right to check up on your restricteds with notice. That doesn't require a warrant. So now they're in, with store records and your transfer number. They don't need warrants to get store sales and reference numbers.

You sold your gun recently without a transfer request? Congrats, now you're a criminal. All your guns will now be collected. I don't know who is feeding you your info but you sound very naive or confidently ignorant to how the system can #### you hard.

I would like for you to explain to me how if you sold your new purchase that you got from the store that there would be no record, like you have claimed. I'm genuinely curious.

If you buy a gun, get a reference number, then cancel your order before it ships, the store doesn’t need to inform rcmp or cancel the reference number. You can also order 1000 guns from the same store on one single reference number if you want.

I sold a non restricted to a local recently. When you request a reference number with their pal number, you aren’t asked for make model, serial number or anything else about the actual gun
