Citadel AD500 .308WIN

I Purchased one of these recently, and this was my experience on its first outing.

1) Right out of the gate (the first Mag), there was an issue with the Magazines and the magazine catch. Under recoil, the magazine latches were disengaging, causing the Magazine to drop slightly out of the Mag-Well, which in turn caused the next round not to be chambered. It happened regardless of which mag I used or which of the the 3 different brands of ammo I used. The magazine release button only need to be release a mm or so before the mag would disengage, so they either need stronger springs, or the mag gatch arms need to be larger.

2) My shooting partner and I laughed at this one. After about 30 or so rounds, the front sight post canted to the left and was able to drop off the rifle entirely. The front sight post is held on by a set screw, which is sunk in to a very small v-notch. For the life of me, I couldn't fathom as to why the barrel wasn't drilled and tapped (like hundreds of other rifles) In my opinion, this is pretty basic b!tch $hit, either do this properly or offer it without the sights and make it optics only. I've re-attched the front sight and used red locktite to see if it'll hold the next time out.

3) The screws and rail came lose, not a big deal, I normally back them out of any rifle and re-attach them with blue locktite before I head out. (But I wanted to see how this one would do from the factory)

4) I got the wood version, and the stock is beautiful, however the forend feels laminate and flimsy, and it easily marked up under light use. If I were to do it again, I'd go with the polymer version. (This isn't a deal breaker, it just depends on how you like to treat your guns. Some treat them like princesses, and some like to beat them like....well nevermind)

5) Yes the forend screw does loosen under recoil as well, I've added blue locktite to see if it'll keep it in place next time, otherwise they should re-design this or add a thread locker.

I wanted to, and want to love this gun. A few small design changes and this would be a winner. (Had an M-305 many years ago, and I'd honestly choose this over that if this had worked) comfortable to shoot, low recoil, looks great and shoots a great round. A P-Mag option would honestly launch this thing.

They seem to come with AICS mags in the rest of the free world, I guess we got proprietary due to our #### laws.
I may grab one in synthetic just to compare it to my R1 and beat the #### out of it like the other Turkish guns I've picked up. They seem to hold up pretty well, may need some tweeks but generally they have been good to me.

Seeing the prices drop on these, $950 now for the synthetic version at some shops.
I grabbed one to check it out, first impressions are meh, I was hoping for a beater 308 to burn some ammo, some weird design ideas, I'm pretty sure it's going to shoot itself apart, nothing really too robust about these except the gas system which is all combined solid steel tubes and and plungers n stuff. I think the weight of that is going to rattle it apart lol.
Tore everything apart on it except the bolt assembly, no idea how that comes apart, cleaned and lubed, feels fairly smooth working the action, definitely no Benelli R1...or even half of one lol.
One little nut holding the whole barrel/gas system assembly to the receiver, not much support there for repeated accuracy. I'm expecting shotgun type grouping while jamming every second round lol.
Sights make little sense, fiber optic, but no notch in the rear, it's just flat across the sight picture.
I dunno, guess I gotta go shoot it to see if it's worth anything, first looks are not confidence inspiring to me anyway.
