I'm still a very new shooter and would like some beginner handgun training including propper trigger control, sight picture, etc.

I noticed Civil Advantage has a $200 intro to pistol course that's 1 on 1 personal training (discounts for groups up to 4) for 4 hours with 150 rounds fired. Does anyone have any opinions on this course, or any other Civil Advantage courses?

Are there recommendations for any other beginner pistol courses in the Lower Mainland? I've seen Silvercore's offering and it's $300 for two days with 300 rounds fired, but its in classes of 8 students. I'm still very new so I'm always concerned about the average skill level of the students being much higher.

Executive firearms training is exactly what you are looking for as well.
His courses run $220 for 8hrs and his max class size is only 3 people. If you take beginners, you won't have any issue with other people being above/below you in skill level. Also, because it is smaller class sizes, he can tweak the courses more to each of your skill levels.

Ask for Jason, tell him John sent you.

Skills and drills in abby every week, it is a mix of experienced and new shooters (many like you just starting out) rob always gives the new people lots of attention and the other experienced shooters help the people near them as well.

And its only $20 a night, 200-300 rounds each night.

Fully agree! New shooter here also and was thinking of some expensive handgun courses which I'm sure are well worth it and I may still do it sometime. But for best value? You can't beat Skill & Drills! $20 to run through 200+ rounds while getting very helpful advice from Rob and other great shooters. Sometimes there are lots of people. My first time there was only 3 of us. I've been out 5 times now and have noticed a dramatic improvement. Highly recommended!

Jason Swanson runs a legit course. Great fundamental builder. My company sent me on his course and it was fun and a great refresher.

Looks like prices went up significantly

Another + for Skills and Drills at Abbotsford fish and game, run by Rob known around here as Slaverx, great atmosphere and minimum drop in fee, lot LE and CO participants.
