Civil War Holster

I am expecting this Civil War holster to show up at my post office this week.
Hopefully my Civil War Starr Double Action Revolver fits in it correctly.

Another nice find, congrats. Worst case scenario if it doesn't fit perfectly, you'll have to search for a nice Dragoon!

Thanks OK---but the holster was expensive enough.
I hate to think about the cost of a Dragoon!

I bought the holster shown below in 2005 and only recently realized that it was not for the M1860 Colt Army and New Model Remington Army revolvers as I originally thought ---but rather for Navy caliber revolvers.
I just discovered that the closure strap on the holster was not long enough to attach to the brass closing finial.

Inspector's cartouches on the grips of the two '51 Colt Navies.

The holster arrived today---the Starr D/A revolver fits in it perfectly.
The closure strap attaches to the brass finial as it should-----SO--- I don't have to go looking for a Colt Dragoon.

Holster is in incredible shape for its age, great score, and awesome collection!
