So I got a new to me m&p sport and didn't realize the barrel isn't threaded. I'm planning on rebarreling it eventually and to get it threaded will cost about as much as a new barrel. I used some Google fu and found a few different ones from $60 -$300. Anyone have any experience with a clamp on?

i have a clamp on brake on my hk usc mostly because its super hard to find one up here unless i get it custom made. i will get a barrel made with threads and a custom muzzle brake in the future but the one i have on current is from http://www.grizzlygunworks.com/ its a little over sized but it works great. around 200 dollars for it. give it a try mine works pretty decent
but you still need to get a brake.

ya u need to get your barrel threaded first then get a brake... depends on where your are if u have a local Gunsmith and even if you do most gunsmiths i know are so busy and have like 2 months wait list i guess it depends on how patience you are.
