hey folks,

is there such a thing as a clamp-on front rifle sight that could work in combination with a rear weaver-mount sight? loc-tite could be used for the front clamp to further strengthen the mount. ive seen clamp on front ghost rings for shotguns, and front sight blades for ARs, but not for commercial sporting rifles.

how much am i looking at for such a set-up on a rifle like a savage or tikka?

am i better off just getting a reflex sight like a Docter Optik clone for the rear weaver rail?

there are peep sights out there that mount on weaver bases, new england custom gun advertizes one. there are probably others.

are to the front sight, it shouldn't cost too much to have a gunsmith mount one.

NECG builds them, yes, and they work very well.
i use on on my Tikka 412S, all I have to do was get my gunsmith buddt ro cur a small slot in the rear mount ( mine is for a Ruger mount)
They are adjustable for height and windage.
