Clandeboy, Manitoba Gravel Pits

I've heard thatthere are gravel pits some where around Clandeboy where one can go and sight in a rifle.
If so, how do I get there and is it legal?

why not just join selkirk fish and game for 40.00? same drive.

The rc boat club uses those pits too. Nobody's shot in there for years.

The Clandeboye pits were bought out by a private consortium, so it's now considered private land. You'd probably have to get permission to shoot there.

Balmoral Pits ~30mins north of the peg, max range I've shot there safely was 176 yards.

Reynolds pits~45 mins east of the peg, max range I've shot safely there 150 yards.

Careful out at Reynolds, its a very busy place on weekends with folks on quads (and foot) frequently crossing through the pits.

I was there during the week about a year ago shooting clays and one of the logging workers (I assume that's what he was) drove over to let me know where they were working, in case I'd be shooting rifle, and not to shoot in that direction.

Just a couple of things to consider when shooting in gravel pits.
