classic 22 lr

Yes it was that one. I was second, and had to endure a 24 hour 'hold' on it. Turns out the fellow that put it on hold, was trying to get approval from the CFO and the request was denied. I'd really like to send that woman flowers, this rifle is amazing!!!!

I put a Talley 20moa 700SA rail on it, fit perfect. I then robbed my Anschutz 64 MPR of it's Leupold 6.5-20EFR.....I've never been so excited about shooting a new rifle as I am about this one.

Don't say anything to me about 52's.....I've been having a hard enough time with CZ's, Remington's and Anschutz multiplying. :HR:
Ha. Was third for that one. But I got the next one they had, so my vote is the 40x. But I also have a wicked little Savage 3B with a cheap marbles peep that is silly accurate.

I've got a hard on for the Squires & Bingham Model 20 right now.
The thing is accurate and reliable. At least the one I picked up is.
It has primitive sights and a short sight radius but I'm still getting very impressive consistant accuracy at 50-60 meters using junk ammo.
Better than my long gone 10/22's or even my current 597 with Tech Sights!

Chipmunk 22 my old man got close to 30 years back at 4 years old from S.I.R. mail order (my kids will be learning with it in the spring)or my favorite go to to this day a browning bl22 which has never let me down.

I've got some great memories of my Dad's old Cooey. There was a Mossberg semi in the mix as well, but my classic is the Marlin 39 (1955 vintage) that my uncle gave me when I was just old enough to hold it. Back when it wasn't so politically incorrect to give a kid a gun as a gift. That 39 is still in my safe almost 50 years later :)

Cooey 75. Birthday present from my Dad for my 10th birthday in 1956. I still shoot it once a year on his birthday, just to remember. :)
