Classic Mannlicher Recommendations???

I yearned for a CZ for quite a while, then Clay from Prophet River brought in the one I asked for (.270). As much as I enjoyed shooting it, the Ruger RSI won. Such a handy little rifle! Clay also sold me my RSI 7x57, which my 11 yr old has taken a real shine to.

I picked up the 77 RSI .270 last summer for him, he is dying to get out and finally try deer hunting. Both great rifles in my opinion.

A friend has had an RSI in 308 for several years, but he won't let me handle it.
He knows that I have an uncontrollable drool when I see a rifle I like and he's afraid I'll damage the finish.... :(

I had an M77 RSI and found it to be rather club-like. To me a full-stock rifle should be light and thin - almost dainty.
x2! ...... I always thought Ruger should employ a thinner 20" bbl with a slimmer forend to make it look and handle better.

I have the MS 1903, the Husqvarna 456, the Steyr Mannlicher SL and L, the CZ's, a Remington Model 7 Custom Shop, a Heym and a Dumoulin, even a Ruger 44 carbine with fullstock. There are a few others in the mix...
