Currently I own two 1911s; a norc in 45 and a GSG love them both but lately been itching to get something in 9mm. I know get a NP29 but I'd like something a little different :). Owning a couple norc guns I know the finishing isn't the greatest but has been getting better and better. Sadly not many gun stores around where I live so being able to go hold either of them is probably not going to happen.

I've been trying to flip between the two sig clones. From what I have read both suffer from pretty heavy double action trigger and crappy grips. Both easily solved so that's a wash. The tactical rail is a wash as well its not really a pro or a con as I don't plan on mounting anything on either of them. I've read the mags are interchangeable. It just comes down to size I guess. Which is where I need help. The barrel length ends up being the same thanks to our lovely laws which could be a pro or a con depending on if you like or dislike the barrel hanging out the end. So honestly I don't know which one would be better for me. Does anyone have any comments on the size between the two? I guess the NP22 would have a better sight radius and obviously not worried about carrying it up here in canukistan.

I have also used my friends Gen 3 G17 and I like the gun for what it is but it just doesn't feel right in my hand so its off the list. I have strongly thought of a M&P9 range. The palm swells look nice ( I have large hands) but at the same time I'm wondering NP with 1000 rounds vs M&P with no rounds. Which is a tough decision on a budget.

At the moment just friendly target practice nothing fancy. We sometimes have friendly matches at my club that I'd love to get involved with but shooting the 45 off hand (one of the rounds) I'm not comfortable at all with hence looking for something a little smaller / cheaper to shoot. Just all friendly matches so I'm not looking to go for broke. Personally I like to tinker so I have no problem doing any work on the guns myself (I just won't touch the sear etc so I know my limit).

So I guess at the end of the day just asking for help in deciding. Still waiting on my tax return which will be funding this venture :)

I own an Np34, one of the new ones that SFRC brought in, I've only put about 300 rounds through it but I'm very happy with it. I've owned an Np22 and Np58 in the past as well, both are excellent guns for the money. The double action pull is a little heavy at first but it does lighten up. I find the grips very slippery and feel they need to be replaced. My Glock gets most of the range time but the Norc Sigs are great pistols. I personally like the Np34 over the Np22, just for the size of it, but both function perfectly.

Buy either one and you will be happy.
