Classiest .17 HMR

Lil hard on edible game going that route. I was going to suggest a custom in 17 mach2 as its great for small edible game and yet effective enough for killing pests. Best of luck

Well a few developments to report, traded to a .17HMR low wall from the WSM, as long term ammo availability weighed on my mind. And also customised the Hagn to my other boy so nobody is left out. Will make a stock for the HMR too. Just roughed the inscription will clean up yet.

I really like the ISSC Straight Pull in Walnut. I have no idea how they shoot, but I have handled one and it felt great, looked sweet and the action was smooth!

BTW, I have a CZ455 in .17, and it shoots like a laser beam >1, and usually 1/2 MOA at 100 yards with most ammo. Can't improve on that a whole lot.

Is that the .17 with the bent barrel and cracked stock you got from me?:p

Geez Ardent...I want to be happy for you and all... lol

Rifle looks great, photos are great, location is other-worldly/beautiful...please stop posting. :)

Wish I'd taken a picture back then, a "older" fellow at the range had a cute Steven 44 in 22lr that was given to him when he was a kid... His father had built/installed wooden stock extensions as he grew older/bigger. I think they were added at 2 years interval from 10 to 16 years of age...

Kind of like this, but 4 deep

Looking at buying my eldest a .17HMR, he’s young yet but thinking of getting a rifle he can keep forever, and be quality sixty years from now. Looking at a Winchester / Miroku or Cooper 57M, what else would you consider? Budget say $3500 but if I can do better like the Winchester low wall, good stuff. CZ’s on the easier but a little under the level I have in mind. I’m aware of Peter Hofer’s .17 double for classiest... I wish.

just bought a CZ 17hmr for $600 well with in your budget of $3500
