Clay Hand thrower

So we are going to my friends cottage this weekend and he has a lot of land so i tought it would be a nice oportunity to brings some guns and do a little shooting!

Now i was wondering how good do the hand throwers at canadian tire work? because we want to shoot some clays!
So i read a bit abouth throwers and i was considering either buying a hand thrower if it does the job or going with a trius 1step!

But since i will only be using this a few time a year i figure the trius might be a bit overkill and i could probably save 100$ and buy ammo and clays with it

I have one, it isn't too bad. I find that a thrower is better in the effect of speed and consistency.
Throw them as slow as you can, it is easy to whip them way too fast to hit reliably.
I found that in the cold weather, it would break clays from becoming stiff. I work the jaws a bit to warm and loosen them and it throws better.
